Chicken stir fry marinade (How to velvet chicken)

Learn how to velvet chicken with Chinese chicken stir fry marinade that tastes just like Chinese restaurants and easy tips for home cooks.

Slice

Hold your knife at a 45-degree angle to make the slice wider and flatter. Slice the chicken against the grain into thin pieces (about ⅛”)

Season

Combine the chicken with soy sauce (or coconut aminos), salt, oil, baking soda, garlic powder and black pepper.

Marinate

Stir amd combine well. Marinate for 15 minutes. After that, the chicken is ready for stir fry and it’ll be tender and flavorful.
