Air fryer salt and pepper tofu

Crispy Salt and Pepper Tofu made in an air fryer with no cornstarch is an easy healthy Chinese appetizer, plus a salt pepper seasoning!

Let’s get started!

Tofu

Use extra firm tofu and pat the tofu dry with paper towels before and after slicing them into cubes.

Season

Combine the seasonings and gently toss the tofu cubes with the oil and the starch until they are evenly coated.

Air fry

Spray oil on the basket and add the tofu pieces in a single layer. Flip the tofu halfway through until it’s in golden brown color.

Spices

Prepare the spring onions, garlic, and chili pepper while you wait. In another bowl, prepare the salt and pepper seasoning.

Combine

Saute the aromatics, then add the tofu and half the amount of the salt and pepper seasoning. Toss for 30 seconds.
