How to make steak house mushrooms

Learn how to make the best steakhouse mushrooms with simple ingredients, less oil, and perfectly browned mushrooms just like the restaurants.

Let’s get started!

Clean and trim


Clean the mushrooms with paper towel and trim the stems. Halve any large mushrooms to maintain uniform size.

Sauté with water


Add mushrooms and water to a cold saute pan. Cook over medium-high heat until the skillet is almost dry, 8 minutes.

Add olive oil


Stir periodically over medium-high heat until the mushrooms are nicely browned then add butter and aromatics.

Deglaze the pan


With Worcestershire sauce and stock and cook until the liquid is reduced to about half. Garnish and serve warm.
