How to make shrimp wontons

These shrimp wontons filled with bouncy shrimp, shiitake, ginger, garlic, wrapped in gluten free wonton wrappers and served with wonton sauce.

Let’s get started!

Shrimp wonton filling


Finely chop shrimp, shiitake, scallions, and shallots.. Season with salt, coconut aminos/soy sauce, sesame oil, white pepper and Chinese wine.

Wrap the wontons


Place 1 to 1.5 teaspoons of filling in the center of a wonton wrapper. Dab edges with water and fold into a triangle shape.

Fold the wontons


Pressing out air pockets. Seal edges well. Flip the triangle over, dab a corner with water, and fold over to adhere.

Boil the wontons


Add wontons in batches, allowing space to float. Simmer for 3-5 minutes until they rise to the top. Drain and serve with wonton sauce.
